Percy's friends[]
The first four workshop engines[]
These engines appeared at the Workshop where Percy use to live before arriving to Sodor. Sir Topham Hatt came to the Workshop to purchase a new tank engine, when the big engines went on strike and Thomas left to run his branch line. They were described as looking "big, little, happy, sad, and anxious". The large blue tank engine slightly resembles Thomas with extended side tanks, and the red engine appears similar to that of Gordon. The engines shown in the workshops are a red LMS Jubilee 4-6-0, a blue LNER F5 2-4-2T, a green LMS 2P 4-4-0 and a GWR 2251 Class 0-6-0 next to Percy covered in tarpaulins.
In addition to these, other engines were seen in the My Thomas Story Library, there are two other engines; one maroon with yellow stripes and the other blue with red lining. One vaguely resembles Percy, and the other Wilbert with blue wheels.
The fifth and sixth workshop engines[]
In addition to these in My Thomas Story Library, there are two other engines; one looks like a maroon version of Percy with yellow stripes and inside cylinders and other looks like Wilbert with blue wheels.
The engines at the Works[]
In the magazine story "Chiff Chaff", Edward met some other engines at the Works.
The seventh workshop engine[]
The steam engine on Edward's left is a green version of Murdoch with green smoke deflectors.
The eighth and ninth workshop engines[]
The engine on Edward's right is a silver electricmultiple-unit. These EMUs are still used on branchline services in Britain.
This engine was seen behind the green engine, but only his eyes were visible.
