Ivo Hugh, named after the Skarloey Railway's former Chief Mechanical Engineer, Mr. Ivo Hugh, is a narrow-gauge tank engine.

Ivo Hugh was designed by Andrew Barclay and built by the workmen of the Crovan's Gate Works and named in a special ceremony by Mr. Ivo Hugh, chief engineer of the Skarloey Railway in 1996. Before he was named, he was known only as Number 7.

Ivo Hugh is usually kind and friendly, but he starts to be fussy, bossy and stubborn.

Ivo Hugh is based on the Talyllyn Railway's Tom Rolt, approx. 18' 8 1/2".

Ivo Hugh is painted in the Skarloey Railway's red livery with blue and yellow lining. In the television series he may be painted purple to avoid confusion with Skarloey.
