When he first came to Sodor, everyone kept teasing him about his square-shaped body. Bradley also likes to play games on the engines incuding Henry. Rodrick's fireman said that his shape is just fine, but he retorted that it was like Rusty.

He is the second Valley Railway engine to ever come to Sodor and has the letters VR on his sides and the number 2 on his side.
